Notably, Kangana Ranaut has always been vocal against the issue of Khalistan.
Kangana Ranaut, Amitabh Bachchan Death Threat News: Bollywood actors Kangana Ranaut and Amitabh Bachchan have received death threat by Khalistan separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu via email.
Not only Kangana Ranaut and Amitabh Bachchan, but also Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several other political leaders, businessmen, and bureaucrats have also received death threat.
In an email sent by Sikhs for Justice on behalf of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a list of over 25 prominent personailities was given to whom death threat has been issued. In the list, it was written, "...Actor Amitabh Bachhan for raising slogans "Khoon Ka Badla Khoon se Lenge", that provoked 1984 genocide. Actor Kangana Ranaut for derogatory statements against Khalistan."
It is pertinent to mention that Kangana Ranaut has always been vocal about the issue of Khalistan. During the 2020 Farmers' Movement, Kangana was even trolled for calling some of the protesters as 'Khalistanis'.
In fact, Kangana has been facing the anger of the public since then as most of her films are getting flop. According to information, the email, that includes death threat to over 25 prominent personalities, was sent by Sikhs for Justice on October 30.
Later on October 31, Kangana jumped into yet another row where Punjabi singer Shubhdeep was being trolled for an incident that took place during his show in London. A video surfaced on social media that showed Shubhdeep flaunting a hoodie with a picture of Punjab map in the backdrop and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's assassination in the middle.
This triggered a lot of people who started trolling him. Joining in, Kangana tweeted, "Celebrating the cowardly killing of an old woman by those who she appointed as her saviours. When you are trusted to protect but you take advantage of the trust and faith and use the same weapons to kill the ones were suppose to protect then it’s a shameful act of cowardice not of bravery. One must be ashamed of such a cowardly attack on an elderly lady who was disarmed and unaware, a lady who was the chosen leader of a democracy, nothing to glorify here. Shame !!!"
However, it was clarified later that the hoodie was sent on stage from the audience and Shubhdeep hadn't saw the hoodie's poster at first. Later, he also issued a clarification for the same.
