Ahead of tour to England, three Pakistan cricketers tests Covid-19 positive

Pakistan cricketers Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf and Haider Ali on Monday were tested positive for the Covid-19.

Karachi: Pakistan cricketers Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf and Haider Ali on Monday were tested positive for the Covid-19.

"The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed three players – Haider Ali, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan – have tested positive for Covid-19," said the PCB in a statement.

PhotoPhotoThe players had shown no symptoms until they were tested in Rawalpindi on Sunday ahead of the Pakistan men''s national cricket team's tour to England.

The infected players will now go into self-isolation.

According to the PCB, Usman Shenwari and Imad Wasim were also tested in Rawalpindi but their report came out to be negative. Waqar Younis, Shoaib Malik have also undergone corona tests in Karachi and Lahore respectively. Their report will come today.

It may be mentioned here that Pakistan has selected a 29-member squad for the tour of England and three players have been found out to be corona victims.

Earlier this month, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi was tested positive for the deadly virus.

Pakistan will play three Tests and three Twenty20 matches on the tour of England.
