The supporters of Mumbai Indians have been upset with the management and the owners after Rohit Sharma was sacked from captaincy irrespective of the fact that he led the team to five titles. A few months ago, the franchise confirmed the same with just a random tweet and did not give any reason for the same.

Hardik Pandya had, earlier, left the franchise to join Gujarat Titans. He was brought back in 2024 and given the role of captaincy. The loyal MI fans were shocked by the development and slammed the move. Not only this but also Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav expressed their disappointment on social media regarding the same.

In the meantime, Rohit’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, also lambasted Boucher for his statement on Rohit’s removal.
