Mary Kom Confirms Divorce, Denies Relationship Rumours, in Legal Notice, latest news: According to the notice dated April 30, 2025, the reports circulating in the media, including one by Hindustan Times EFL on April 7,  about Mary Kom's separation from her husband Onkholer (Onler) Kom and her alleged relationship with businessman Hitesh Choudhary have been strongly refuted.

The notice confirms that Mary Kom and Onler Kom were legally divorced on December 20, 2023, under Kom Customary Law, with mutual agreement in the presence of family members and clan leaders. The boxer, through her advocate, clarified that she has moved on with her life and considers the matter closed.

Addressing the media speculation, the notice states, “The rumours regarding my client’s relationship involvement with Mr. Hitesh Choudhary or being in a relationship with another boxer’s husband are categorically denied and should not be propagated by any media platform.”

It further clarifies that Mr. Hitesh Choudhary is associated with Mary Kom strictly in a professional capacity as part of their business collaboration through the Mary Kom Boxing Foundation, and that all other speculation is false.

The six-time world champion Mary Kom also appealed for privacy and respect as she navigates a personally difficult time following her separation. The notice mentioned that Mary Kom has already held a press conference in Manipur addressing this matter and urged people to refrain from further intrusions.

Advocate Mathur warned that failure to comply with this notice would lead to legal action, including civil and criminal proceedings for defamation and breach of privacy.
