In a heartbreaking incident, a 21-year-old Punjabi student, identified as Vanshika, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on a beach in Canada. Originally from Saini Mohalla, Derabassi, Vanshika had moved to Canada two and a half years ago to pursue higher education in Ottawa.

According to family sources, Vanshika had recently completed her two-year academic course and had given her final exam on April 18. She had started working part-time while preparing for her IELTS exam scheduled on April 25.

Tragedy struck when she went missing after leaving home for work on April 22 and never returned. Concern escalated after her phone remained switched off and she failed to appear for her IELTS exam. A friend who was also taking the exam tried reaching her, and later went to her residence only to learn she had not returned since the 22nd.

Distressed, the friend alerted Vanshika’s family and began a personal search with help from local contacts. Efforts were also made to involve local authorities, and even an MP was contacted to assist in locating her.

Vanshika’s body was later discovered on the seashore in suspicious circumstances. Her grieving father, Davinder Saini, fears foul play and is urging Canadian authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.
