Minor Indian girl dies of fever in Abu Dhabi

Dubai: A five-year-old Indian girl, whose parents hail from Kerala, died of fever in Abu Dhabi, a media report said today.  

Rayeesa, a kindergarten student at a school in Abu Dhabi, was suffering from fever for one week and died yesterday, The Khaleej Times reported.

She was the only child of her parents who hail from the Malappuram district in Kerala. Her father, Rafi, works at a private company in Baniyas. 

With changing weather conditions, there has been a spurt in cases of fever in Abu Dhabi, the capital and the second most populous city of the UAE, the report said.

The UAE is home to more than 2.6 million Indians, who form the largest expatriate community in the Gulf nation. PTI
