Praneet Kaur, a Catalyst for Change, Set to Participate in World Food Forum in Rome, Italy

ITALY: Praneet Kaur, a 22-year-old resident of Chandigarh, is set to represent India on an international stage at the World Food Forum (WFF) to be held in Rome, Italy. The event is scheduled to take place from October 16 to 20 and is recognized as a pivotal gathering focusing on global food-related issues. Praneet Kaur's remarkable dedication to international affairs and her significant contributions to youth programs within the G-20 have earned her this prestigious opportunity.

Praneet Kaur's educational journey began at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, and continued at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, where she completed her 11th and 12th grades. Furthering her studies, she pursued her graduation from S.D. College. Throughout her academic endeavors, she exhibited a keen interest in international affairs, setting the foundation for her impactful involvement in global initiatives.

Having actively participated in G-20's youth programs, Praneet Kaur assumed a vital role, managing various responsibilities including official communications, protocol coordination with foreign delegates, and preparing talking points from G-20 documents. Her engagement extended to addressing pertinent issues on behalf of the Youth-20, demonstrating her commitment to fostering positive change on an international scale.

Notably, Praneet Kaur served as the Coordinator of Delegate Affairs at the Youth-20 India Summit in Varanasi from August 17 to 21, 2023. The event witnessed participation from representatives of over 25 countries, affording her a platform to engage and interact with diverse delegates. Expressing her aspiration to become an IAS officer, Praneet Kaur has garnered international recognition for her efforts. She was selected as one of the 100 leaders for the Global Leadership Challenge by Oxford University and St Gallen Symposium, and is a distinguished Global Shaper recognized by the World Economic Forum.

In addition to her accolades, Praneet Kaur is the founder of "Girl Up Zubaan," an organization devoted to empowering women. Through collaborations with international and regional entities, she has been proactive in alleviating poverty and advocating for gender justice across the nation. Currently, as the Assistant Secretary of the Youth Wing at the Chandigarh United Nations Association, Praneet is dedicating her efforts to address the environmental crisis in Punjab, showcasing her commitment to fostering a better future for her community and beyond.
