Referring to the Spanish flu, Ranieri Guerra, assistant director general of the WHO, said the epidemic had intensified during the cold September-October season.
WHOSpeaking to Italy's RAI TV, Ranieri Guerra said that the second stage of the Spanish flu, which came 100 years ago, had killed millions of people.
He said the Spanish flu was working like a Covid. However, the number of cases decreased during the summer season, but increased later.
