However, after allegedly continued missile attacks from Iran, it announced that it would respond with force.
U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking to the media at around 4:30 in the afternoon on Monday, stated,"I am not happy that Israel is going out now. There was one rocket that I guess was fired overboard, and it missed its target. Now Israel is going out. These guys gotta calm down. Ridiculous. I didn't like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal... That's not what we want..."
Following the alleged violation of the ceasefire, Israel vowed to respond with force.
"In light of the severe violation of the ceasefire carried out by the Iranian regime, we will respond with force,” the Israel Defense Forces said, adding that "Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir is assessing the situation."
Trump made a post on Truth Social also, warning Israel of a major violation if it responds.
“ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.” the post read.
Meanwhile, via a post on X, Head of the Center for Public Diplomacy and Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei clarified that Iran’s strike on the American military base in Qatar was an act of self-defense and “had nothing to do with our friendly neighbour Qatar.”
“Iran’s military strikes on American military base ‘Al-Udeid’ was in exercise of our self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter in response to the United States’ unprovoked aggression against Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty that took place on 22 June 2025. This act of self-defense had nothing to do with our friendly neighbour Qatar as we enjoy excellent and deeply rooted relationships. Iran remains fully committed to its good-neighbourliness policy with respect to the State of Qatar and other neighboring countries. We resolve not to let U.S./Israeli criminal aggressions and malign policies against Iran create division between us and the brotherly countries of the region,” Baqaei stated in his post.
