Israel Vows Forceful Response After Alleged Iranian Ceasefire Violation; IDF Chief Holds Assessment

"In light of the severe violation of the ceasefire carried out by the Iranian regime, we will respond with force."

Iran Israel Ceasefire Violation news; In violation of the ceasefire, allegedly by Iran, Israel on Monday afternoon (IST) warned that it will respond with ‘force’ and that its Chief of the General Staff is assessing the situation.

"In light of the severe violation of the ceasefire carried out by the Iranian regime, we will respond with force." and that the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir in a situational assessment now, the Israel Defense Forces declared moments ago.
The development comes just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a “complete and total CEASEFIRE” between the two conflicted Middle Eastern nations.

Earlier, around 1 PM (IST), the Israeli government issued a statement on Monday saying, “In light of having achieved the objectives of the operation, and in full coordination with President Trump, Israel agrees to the President's proposal for a bilateral ceasefire.”

The statement came amid fresh alerts issued by the Israeli Defense Forces warning citizens of incoming missiles from Iran.
“Sirens sounding in northern Israel due to missile fire from Iran,” the IDF posted on X.

According to the statement, the agreement to the ceasefire came after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the Security Cabinet last night, along with the Defense Minister, the IDF Chief of Staff, and the Director of Mossad, to report that Israel had achieved all the objectives of Operation Rising Lion, and more.

The Israeli Prime Minister is expected to issue an additional statement later today, as mentioned in the earlier ceasefire announcement. However, it remains uncertain whether this will happen in light of the latest developments.
