Iran Condemns U.S. Airstrikes on Nuclear Sites, Accuses IAEA of Complicity; Trump Issues Strong Warning Against Retaliation

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization issued a statement following the U.S. attacks on its nuclear facilities, confirming that its nuclear sites were “subjected to savage aggression” and labeling the strikes as “an act in violation of international laws.”

The organization stated that the sites are under continuous IAEA monitoring in accordance with the Safeguards Agreement and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and alleged that the attack occurred under “the indifference—and even complicity—of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

The statement was shared by the official account of Iran's Embassy in New Delhi, India.

It read, “Following the brutal attacks by the Zionist enemy in recent days, early this morning, the country’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan were subjected to savage aggression—an act in violation of international laws, particularly the NPT.”

The Atomic Energy Organization also criticized the IAEA for failing in its responsibility, “This action, which violates international regulations, unfortunately took place under the indifference—and even complicity—of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

The statement continued, “The American enemy, through virtual space and by the declaration of its president, has taken responsibility for the attacks on the mentioned sites, which are under continuous IAEA monitoring in accordance with the Safeguards Agreement and the NPT.”

Iran expressed hope that the international community would condemn this act of “lawlessness rooted in jungle rules” and support Iran in asserting its legitimate rights.

The organization assured Iranian citizens, “That despite the malicious plots of its enemies… it will not allow the development of this national industry—built on the blood of nuclear martyrs—to be halted.”

It concluded by stating,“This organization is taking the necessary steps to defend the rights of the noble Iranian people, including legal actions.”

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump, in a post following his announcement of the U.S. attack, issued a stern warning to Iran,“ANY RETALIATION BY IRAN AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT. THANK YOU! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.”

In a separate post, Trump called the operation, “An HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL, AND THE WORLD. IRAN MUST NOW AGREE TO END THIS WAR. THANK YOU!”

Trump has consistently reiterated his firm stance “IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”

With the involvement of the U.S. in the Iran-Israel conflict, many fear it could trigger a broader global conflict and potentially lead to World War III
