Barcelona terror attack, 13 killed, around 100 injured, 2 arrested. 13 persons have been killed and around 100 injured after a van crashed into a crowd of people in Barcelona’s Las Ramblas district, Spain.

The van driver was moving the van from one side to the other passengers and the local residents were crushed. This incident turned the famous Europe’s tourist spot into a bloody place. According to the information, it has said that 15 people are critically injured.

Police has confirmed the arrest of one man behind the incident and said they are treating it as a ” terrorist attack”.
The Islamic State Group has taken the responsibility of the attack. It has been stated by the news agency that the attack was carried out by the militants of the Islamic State. Officials said the dead included a Belgium citizen and Greek woman. The German Foreign Ministry said that they are trying to find out that no citizen of Germany was involved in this attack.

Las Ramblas was completely closed for tourists or any persons after this attack. The police started the search for a driver in downtown with the modern weapons and hand guns. At the same time storages, cafes and public transport were closed. After several hours of confrontation, officials succeeded in arresting two people.
