Drone Attack in the Midst of Ongoing Civil Conflict Raises Concerns

KHARTOUM: Sudan's already dire situation has taken a tragic turn as a drone airstrike rocked the capital city of Khartoum on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of at least 40 civilians and leaving more than 36 individuals seriously injured. The incident, whose perpetrators remain unknown, has intensified the atmosphere of fear and insecurity prevailing in the region.

In the midst of an ongoing civil conflict between the Sudanese army and paramilitary forces vying for control of the country, the civilian population finds itself caught in the crossfire, enduring escalating violence that has persisted since the outbreak of the conflict on April 5.

The Attack, which took place in a market in Khartoum, was marked by its brutality, with innocent civilians becoming unintended casualties. Health workers swiftly responded to the crisis, rushing the injured to Bashir University Hospital for critical medical attention. Notably, The drone strike has raised serious concerns among both Sudanese citizens and international observers, who are now demanding answers about the responsible party behind this devastating attack.
