Bangladesh is set to conduct its 13th National Parliamentary elections on 12 February 2026.
Bangladesh Election: A day ahead of the first parliamentary election in Bangladesh after the 2024 uprising, the Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Wednesday ordered firm action against any sabotage attempts targeting the election.
Bangladesh is set to conduct its 13th National Parliamentary elections on 12 February 2026.
The District Returning Officer said that all measures have been taken to facilitate a peaceful, free, and fair election.
“Officials have instructed polling staff to perform their duties with neutrality and professionalism, while urging voters to participate in the electoral process in an orderly manner,” he added.

Voting materials have been dispatched to polling stations across the districts under strict security measures. Law enforcement agencies, including the police and other security forces, have also been deployed.
The Yunus administration has prohibited the use of colourful posters. Streets in Dhaka were seen decorated only with black-and-white posters.
