In addition to the festive celebrations, recent discussions between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK counterpart Rishi Sunak highlighted progress on the Free Trade Agreement. The leaders expressed mutual commitment to securing an ambitious deal beneficial to both nations.

During the conversation, Sunak congratulated PM Modi on Team India's impressive performance in the ongoing Cricket World Cup and also wished him a very Happy Diwali. The leaders shared optimism for England's upcoming Test series in India in January, reflecting the camaraderie between the two nations.

Notably, The UK and India have been actively negotiating a Free Trade Agreement since 2022, with the 12th round of talks taking place from August 8-31 this year. The discussions underscored the shared commitment to fostering strong economic ties.
