Visa Issued to 2,856 Sikh Pilgrims for Visiting Shrines in Pakistan: Pak High Commission

Pilgrims will visit Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Panja Sahib, Nankana Sahib & Kartarpur Sahib

NEW-DELHI: The Pakistan High Commission has issued visas to 2,856 Sikh pilgrims who will be visiting Pak to participate in the annual celebrations on the occasion of Baisakhi from April 9 to 18, informed Pak High Commission. The High Commission said that these pilgrims will visit Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Panja Sahib, Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib.

Sikh and Hindu pilgrims from India visit Pakistan every year on pilgrimages under bilateral protocol arrangements. Every year Pakistani pilgrims also come to India under this protocol. "On the occasion of Baisakhi, the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has issued 2,856 visas to Sikh pilgrims who will visit Pak to participate in the annual events from April 9 to 18," the Pakistan High Commission said in a statement.

In-charge of Pakistan High Commission in India, Salman Sharif greeted the pilgrims and wished them a smooth journey. He said that Pakistan is committed to the preservation of the holy places and is providing necessary facilities to the pilgrims.
