Bus Overturns in Oaxaca State, Leaving a Dozen Injured and Adding to Mexico's Recent Road Mishaps

OAXACA: In a harrowing incident, a bus overturned on Friday morning in Mexico, resulting in a tragic loss of 18 lives. Among the victims were three children and two women. The cause of the accident remains unknown, but officials have indicated that the majority of the deceased were migrants.

According to reports from local media, the victims hailed from Venezuela and Haiti, residing in Oaxaca state. The accident left approximately 27 individuals injured, all of whom were promptly admitted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The authorities are actively investigating the incident to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking accident.

This unfortunate event comes in the wake of another major road accident earlier this week in Mexico, where a truck overturned, claiming the lives of 10 individuals in southern Mexico. Additionally, around 25 people sustained injuries in that incident, highlighting the pressing need for enhanced road safety measures and vigilance on the country's roads.
