Trump Claims Israel Agrees to Conditions for 60-Day Ceasefire in Gaza
Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed that Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “My representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis today on Gaza. Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60-day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the war.”
He also acknowledged the significant role of Qatar and Egypt in facilitating the ceasefire negotiations. “The Qataris and Egyptians, who have worked very hard to help bring peace, will deliver this final proposal,” his post read.
Trump issued a stern warning to Hamas, saying that rejecting the deal would only lead to worse outcomes. “I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE,” he emphasized.
The announcement comes ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled visit to the United States on July 7.
According to ANI, citing Al Jazeera, Israel continues to launch heavy aerial strikes on Gaza. On Monday alone, the Israeli military reportedly carried out at least 50 airstrikes, primarily targeting eastern Gaza City, following evacuation orders issued to residents.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the ongoing conflict has so far claimed over 56,500 Palestinian lives and wounded 133,419. Meanwhile, around 1,139 people were killed in Israel during Hamas’s October 7 attacks, and approximately 200 individuals were taken captive.
