Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, on Friday took a Jet Ski ride on Tehri Lake after inaugurating the “Himalayan O2 – The Tehri Lake Festival.”
Calling the experience thrilling, the CM said, “I once again felt up close the immense possibilities present here.’
“Today, Tehri Lake is carving out its identity as an emerging global hub for adventure and water sports. Not only from the country but also in large numbers from abroad, tourists are coming here to enjoy adventure sports,” he added.
The four-day-long festival features adventure activities, fashion events, entertainment, live music, and creative workshops.
The activities include water rafting, kayaking, MTB races, and rap competitions.
The festival will also see a performance by singer Amit Trivedi.
The festival has been organised by the district administration of Tehri Garhwal in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB).
Further, eight new trekking trails in Uttarakhand will be unveiled during the festival.
