Women commission writes to DGP in Baltana incident

Chandigarh: Chairperson of Punjab Women commission Bibi Parmjeet Kaur Landran today wrote a letter to Director General of Police Punjab (DGP) requesting him to take swift action on the reported case as per which two women were subjected to inhuman treatment at Baltana Police Station.

Chandigarh: Chairperson of Punjab Women commission Bibi Parmjeet Kaur Landran today wrote a letter to Director General of Police Punjab (DGP) requesting him to take swift action on the reported case as per which two women were subjected to inhuman treatment at Baltana Police Station.

The chairperson also asked the DGP to conduct an inquiry into this sensitive case in which senior police officers were allegedly involved. She demanded that the Chowki Incharge should also be shifted to another location so that fair probe may be conducted.
