Six arrested in fraud case in Punjab

Six persons were arrested for Rs 35-lakh home loan fraud in neighbouring Hanumangarh town. A police team on Saturday raided various houses in Hanumangarh and Sriganganagar and arrested the accused. 

Bank of Baroda (BOB) branch manager Manmohan had lodged two FIRs under Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC on October 13, 2017, claiming that frauds had been detected in two home loan cases.

Investigation reportedly indicated that Pawan Soni, Rahul alias Mukesh Soni, of Hanumangarh and Mangi Lal of Ganeshgarh (Sriganganagar) got Rs 20-lakh home loan sanctioned on May 23, 2015, against the purchase of house from Budh Ram.

In another case, Bajrang Godara, Surinder alias Naresh Soni and Ashok Arora of Sriganganagar were arrested for fraud.
