Shwait Malik to assume Punjab BJP chief's office on April 8

Phagwara: Rajya Sabha member Shwait Malik will formally take over as the president of Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on April 8 in Chandigarh, said BJP MLA Som Parkash.

Parkash said several vehicles carrying party workers will go from Phagwara to Chandigarh to attend the ceremony.

The BJP had appointed Malik as the party's new Punjab unit chief, replacing Union minister Vijay Sampla. PTI
