Santokh Singh elected president of Chief Khalsa Diwan

Amritsar: Santokh Singh was elected as president and Sarabjit Singh vice president in the bypolls for the Chief Khalsa Diwan.

The Chief Khalsa Diwan is a century old charitable-cum-educational body.

The bypoll was necessitated after a video purportedly showing former president Charanjit Singh Chadha with a woman principal of one of the schools run by the Diwan went viral on social media.

Chadha was removed from his post at the Chief Khalsa Diwan and his primary membership was also revoked. PTI
