On Thursday, the court of Sangrur sentenced two-year jail term to pay a 50-lakh cheque bounce to actor Alka Kaushal and her mother Sushila Badola, who played the role of Kareena Kapoor’s mother in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, after which both of them has been sent to jail in Sangrur. TV serial was borrowed for 50 million.

Advocate Sukhbir Singh said that the farmer Avtar Singh resident of village Lagriya was well known with Alka. To make TV serial, Alka had borrowed 50 lakhs from Avatar. When Avtar asked for money back from Alka, she and her mother gave two cheques of 25-25 lakhs to Avtar. After Avatar put the cheque in bank, it got bounced, after which he made a case in the Malerkotla court.

The court had ordered Alka and her mother to double the sentence of two years in prison and double the amount in 2015. But both of them filed an appeal in the Sangrur Court against the decision by taking bail. Court protects Malerkotla court verdict on Thursday and sentenced both of them two years imprisonment.
