Damdami Taksal has sought a written reply to the above said within next 15 days and strongly demand withdrawal of the objectionable material from being circulated through school text book.

“If you fail to provide the required information on time, we will be compelled to take this matter in the Court,” said the letter written to the Education Minister Tawde. However, the Chief Minister Fadnavis, in the letter written to him, was urged to intervene in this sensitive issue so as to bring the matter to a righteous end at the earliest.

Damdami Taksal maintained that it was not only a sense of embarrassment to the Sikh students studying the said textbook in the state’s schools but also put them at risk of hate crimes against them.
