Amritsar- Dal Khalsa is of the view that the cultist baba got a little less sentence (10 years) as he deserve to be remain behind bars for life.  The organization, however, feels that with this decision of the CBI court, the end of this astray cult has begun.

Party leaders H S Dhami and Kanwar Pal Singh attribute the conviction of state-sponsored cultist baba to judicial activism. "The judiciary at all level has re-asserted its position firmly and delivered justice to the victims".

The conviction of Gurmeet Ram Rahim has shamed the politicians of all shades who were hobnobbing with him and brought huge embarrassment and humiliation to disgraced Takht Jathedars, who toeing the line of Badals tactically exonerated this sinner, the decision they had to chew later on when challenged and contested by the Sikh Sangat.

We feel the moral values and commitment shown by the judge Jagdeep Singh was much higher than the spineless Jathedars. The Jathedars have lost face and faith of the community and they are in a habit of taking flip-flop positions when faced with criticism and humiliation.

They recalled how the Indian civil society ignored all cries and concerns of the Sikhs when pseudo-Baba mocked and challenged the fundamentals of Sikhism. When we shouted that this man was a fake saint, rather a Shaitan (monster), nobody listened to us least the state and the media. We were at pains when the politicians lined up before him and used to describe him as a “spiritual” leader. Howver, at the end of the day, truth has prevailed.
