The sources in the Finance Department stated that the department has been mooting a proposal for increasing the cost of security.

Initially, the government wanted to charge a heavy fee from those who could afford to pay. But after checking the records, it was found that the cost of about Rs 60,000 per constable was substantial.

The concerned department has also taken back the security given to the SAD-BJP leaders. It has been found that the majority of these leaders were taking the security cover just to show off only. The new proposal would definitely fetch the revenue and it would benefit the state exchequer.
