PUNJAB PUBLIC RELATIONS EMPLOYEES'ASSOCIATION MOURNS SAD DEMISE OF CHAMAN LAL DHIMAN Information & Public Relations Employees' Association, Punjab today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Superintendent (Retd) Mr. Chaman Lal Dhiman (59), who passed away in a private hospital at Dera Bassi after a prolonged illness last night. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.

25 LAKH FREE SAPLINGS TO BE DISTRIBUTED IN VARIOUS INSTITUTIONS DURING CURRENT YEAR: SADHU SINGH DHARAMSOT

The Forest Department, Punjab, would distribute 25 lakh free saplings during 2017-18 to the various institutions so as to maintain ecological balance and bring Government as well as other institutions under green cover.

Disclosing this, the Forest and Wildlife Preservation Minister, Punjab, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that the department would distribute the saplings under 'Punjab Mission Scheme' to the educational, social, religious institutions apart from military and para military forces.

VENDERS SELLING, ADDICTING PRODUCTS TO YOUNG CHILDREN MUST BE BOOKED UNDER JUVENILE JUSTICE ACT 2015 –BRAHM MOHNDRA

In a bid to protect children from the use of tobacco/Nicotine addiction, alcohol and psychotropic substance, Punjab Government is all set to initiate  massive campaign in strict compliance of the “Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act 2015” (J.J. Act) and “Cigarette and other Tobacco Product Act 2003” (COTPA) across the state.

Giving details today, Minister for Health & family Welfare Mr. Brahm Mohindra said that venders selling tobacco, alcohol and psychotropic substance (addicting products) to a minor must be booked under Juvenile Justice Act 2015.

18 PUNJAB PCS OFFICERS PROMOTED TO IAS

18 Punjab PCS officers promoted to IAS. A meeting in this connection was held at Delhi. Senior officers of the Punjab government including Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh took part in the meeting. 54 PCS officers were in consideration zone for promotion that is made considering the service record of the officers concerned.

Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh made a courtesy call on Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Thursday. The Chief Minister presented a set of six military history books authored by him to General Rawat.  

PWD DEPARTMENT TRANSFERS 6 SEs, 28 XENs AND 47 SDOs

The Public Works Department (B& R) department transferred 6 SEs, 28 XENs and 47 SDOs with immeditoe effect.

Disclosing this official spokesperson of the department said that among the Superintending Engineers who were transferred included Mr. Parminder Singh Tiwana as SE (IP), Chandigarh while Mr. Kulwant Singh has been transferred to Construction Circle, Ludhiana, Mr. Varinderjit Singh Dhindsa to Construction Circle, Amritsar, Mr. M. S. Kajal to Construction Circle No. 2, Ptoiala, Mr. Vikas Gupta to Electricity Circle South, Patiala and Mr. Narinderpal Singh has been transferred to Central Works Circle, Amritsar.
