Chandigarh: The farm debt waiver committee headed by Dr T Haque will submit its report on August 17. The report prepared by the committee with mandate to work out waiver will be submitted to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
It is likely to be implemented in September, informed Finance Minister Manpreet Badal. Earlier, the committee had presented its initial report on the basis of which crop loan relief was announced in the budget session of Punjab Assembly last month.

The committee is learnt to have worked overtime in compiling huge data of over 10 lakh farmers. Manpreet Badal appealed the farmers to be patient since the working out waiver was a huge task that needed time.
