Punjab govt announces Rs 42 cr to preserve cultural heritage

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today announced Rs.42 crore as a dedicated fund for preservation of the state's rich cultural heritage. The fund will be used for the upkeep and maintenance of various cultural projects across the state.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said a sum of Rs.15 lakh has already been released to SDM Raikot for the upkeep of the Maharaja Dalip Singh Memorial at Bassian Kothi, besides meeting other contingency expenses.
