Punjab CM condoles death of noted Sufi singer Pyare Lal Wadali

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today expressed grief over the death of noted Sufi singer Pyare Lal Wadali, the younger brother of Puran Chand Wadali.  

The chief minister described the demise of Pyare Lal Wadali as a personal loss, as well as a loss for the world of Sufi music.

In his condolence message, Singh described Pyare Lal Wadali as a trend-setter in Sufi singing, and added that with his death, a void had been created in the lives of Sufi music lovers across the world.  

Pyare Lal Wadali, the one half of famous Punjabi Sufi singing duo Wadali Brothers, died of heart attack today at a private hospital here, his family members said. He was 75. PTI
