Prominent Sikh historian Dr. Sangat Singh no more

Famous Sikh historian Dr. Sangat Singh died at his home in Greater Kailash early morning. He was 86. Singh is survived by his wife Gurbachan Kaur, two daughters Harbinder Kaur, Upinder Kaur and son Maninder Singh. Singh was cremated at Lodhi Road crematorium.  

Talking to Rozana Spokesman, Manjit Singh GK condole the death of Dr. Sangat Singh. GK remembered his contribution to Sikhism. Dr. Singh was associated with Rozana Spokesman since long. He wrote so many articles on Sikh history and Sikh issues.

In 1995, a publishing house in New York published his book 'The Sikhs in History' and the book popularised in the entire world. 

Dr. Singh was born in 1931 at Darkala, District Rawalpindi. He did his MA in history from Panjab University in 1955 and later completed his Doctorate in 1964.
