The Narcotics Control Bureau, Chandigarh Zonal Unit seized 01.800 Kgs. of Charas and 0.950 Kgs. of Opium along with vehicle HP-09C-8000 (Car Etios Cross) and arrested one person Rajeev Chauhan S/o Late Saran Lal resident of House No. 78/1, VPO Gumma, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh near Palmdale Hotel, Zirakpur, Punjab.
Narcotics Control Bureau on the basis of specific intelligence mounted surveillance at Zirakpur (Punjab) and arrested Rajeev Chauhan while he was carrying both the drugs. The consignment was kept in a bag which was recovered from the vehicle of said accused. On preliminary enquiry, it reveals that the accused has bringing Charas from Theog, Shimla (H.P.) and was supplying it in Zirakpur (Punjab) and Chandigarh region.
Rajeev Chauhan is involved in drug smuggling since last one year. This is the 64th seizure made by Narcotics Control Bureau, Chandigarh Zonal Unit during this year.
