The security arrangements have one again come under scanner after the recovery of the cell phone inside a barrack. During the surprise checking drive, a cell phone recovered from the barrack of an undertrial prisoner identified at Ramesh Kumar.
A complaint has been registered at Ferozpur City Police station by Jail Superintendent Baldev Singh. It has been mentioned in the complaint that a mobile phone recovered after a special drive in the jail.
Gurmail Singh, the Investigating Officer said that a case has been registered against the jail inmate Ramesk Kumar under section 52 A of Prisons Act 1894 of IPC. The authorities have been trying to identify the role of the security staff deployed inside the jail. The incident has put the jail authorities on toes.
