Chandigarh: The opposition-backed Congress presidential candidate Meira Kumar will visit Chandigarh on Sunday to address party MLAs and MPs in the run-up to the election for the country’s top post.
Chandigarh: The opposition-backed Congress presidential candidate Meira Kumar will visit Chandigarh on Sunday to address party MLAs and MPs in the run-up to the election for the country’s top post.
She will meet the party MLAs and MPs at Punjab Bhawan here as part of her poll campaign, according to the Office Secretary of the Punjab Congress Legislature Party (CLP) A.C. Kaushik.

The meeting has been convened by Punjab Chief Minister and the Leader of CLP Captain Amarinder Singh to facilitate Meira Kumar’s campaigning. It will be followed by dinner. All the MLAs and MPs have already been invited to attend the meeting, during which Kumar will seek their support and vote for the presidential poll, said Kaushik.????
