Man commits suicide by jumping in front of train in Punjab

Phagwara: A 55-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near here, Government Railway Police said today.

The deceased, identified as Ram Lubhaya, jumped in front of Howrah Express near Mauli railway cross near here yesterday, they said.  

"The cause of suicide could not be known," a GRP official said. The body was handed over to family after the post-mortem examination, he said.

A case has been registered in connection with the incident. PTI
