Abohar: Four drug peddlers were arrested in Abohar and neighbouring Sriganganagar. The police team of the Abohar nabbed Gurcharan Singh of Lakho-ke-Behram village (Ferozepur) and Swaran Singh of Dharamkot (Moga) with 15-kg poppy husk.
Gurmeet Singh of the Seed Farm colony here was nabbed with 700 sedative pills in a separate incident. Last evening at Pakki village, the police team intercepted biker Sukhchain Singh and seized 250 sedative pills. SHO Jai Singh said the accused had been remanded in two-day police custody.
While in one another case the Abohar police has seized 14 cartons of liquor that was smuggled from Haryana using a Skoda car with Haryana registration. The accused has been identified as Sahil, Vicky, Kali Nagia and Sunil Nagia.
The police said that they had started the further investigation.
