It was great joke of the century when the United Nations-Water invited the convicted Dera baba and his adopted daughter Honeypreet for an international event through a message on Twitter. The entire country has known the story of the rapist baba and her daughter Honeypreet and despite that the ignorant UN-Water invited both of them for an international event.
The organization faced flak for their tweet and immediately the organization deleted the tweet. For the World Toilet Day event to be held next month, the UN body had tagged the convicted Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and Honeypreet asking for their support for the event.
Although deleted, it's not clear whether the tweets were intentional or a result of a possible hack.
Many on Twitter even questioned if the person handling the account even knew if Gurmeet Ram Rahim was in jail and that his daughter was arrested yesterday.
Honeypreet or Papa's Angel as she calls herself, was arrested yesterday after a month-long hunt by cops. She has been charged with sedition and was questioned till 3 am for her role in the rioting by Dera followers outside Panchkula court after her father was convicted for raping two followers.
UN-Water monitors the international organisation's work in sanitation and water related issues. In 2013, the United Nations General Assembly officially designated November 19 as World Toilet Day which is coordinated by UN-Water in collaboration with governments and partners.
It did not look like a mistake, nor was there any evidence to suggest their Twitter handle was hacked.
The UN Water, which defines itself as a body that "coordinates the UN's work on water and sanitation for a better world" through its handle @UN_Water, today tweeted: "Dear @insan_honey, we hope you & @Gurmeetramrahim will lend your voice and support #WorldToiletDay." A link to their website (worldtoiletday.info) was also mentioned in the tweet.
It was not the first time the UN body had talked about the controversial duo.
There was another tweet posted on Tuesday, which said, "Dear @Gurmeetramrahim, can we count on your support to celebrate toilets on November 19 - #WorldToiletDay? http://www.worldtoiletday.info/.";
The United Nations must be aware about the fact that the both father daughter are behind the bars. Even the entire country is aware of the jailed baba and Honeypreet.
