Gurjiwan Singh Sidhu creates record in 20th Asian Masters Athletic Championship

Veteran Athlete Captain (Retd) Gurjiwan Singh Sidhu won Three Gold Medal in three events (Shot Put, Hammer and Discuss Throw) of 20th Asian Masters Athletic Championship which was held at Regao in China from 20th to 28th September 2017.

Capt Sidhu also created two New Records in Shot put and Hammer throw. Captain Sidhu won gold medal in Shot put with threw of 8.88 m and broke previous record of 7.91 m.

In Hammer Throw Captain Sidhu broke previous record of 25.36m with threw of 26.36m and won gold medal with new record. Capt Sidhu won third gold medal in Discuss Throw with 19.39 m.


It is pertinent to mention that Capt Sidhu become 5th time Asia Masters Champion in Shot Put and 3rd time in Hammer Throw.

Capt Sidhu who belongs to Poohla (Dist Bathinda), Advocate of Punjab And Haryana High Court and Former Joint Director of Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab.
