Gangsters’ suicide: DGP honored 16 cops within 12 hours

Faridkot: The Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, Suresh Arora honored the the Punjab Police personnel with promotions for carrying out a successful operation against three wanted gangsters.

Faridkot: The Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, Suresh Arora honored the the Punjab Police personnel with promotions for carrying out a successful operation against three wanted gangsters.The operation was carried out in the early morning and the cops received the good news of promotion within 12 hours of the operation.  

Arora felicitated 16 cops of Faridkot who participated in the operation that took place at village Sakhera Khera of Sirsa district in Haryana. The gangsters committed suicide on being cornered by the police team.

A Punjab Police spokesman said the DGP was keeping a close watch on the entire operation. He felicitated Inspector CIA Staff, Faridkot Amritpal Singh who led the operation, with DGP Disc.

The gangsters were identified as Kanwaljit Singh Bunty of village Himmatpura, Faridkot, Jaspreet Singh Jumpy Don of village Rorikapura, Faridkot and Nishan Singh of village Ruknewala of Ferozepur. Total 30 cases were registered against them at the police stations of Punjab and Haryana.
