Gang of car thieves arrested in Bathinda

The CIA-2 wing of the Bathinda police today claimed to have busted a gang of vehicle-lifters in Bathinda, Faridkot and Muktsar. They stole two-wheelers and four-wheelers in the past few months.

Three members of the gang were arrested and three are absconding. The police have recovered three cars and three motorcycles from the thieves.

A case under Sections 379, 411 and 120-B of the IPC has been registered against the accused at the Civil Lines police station.

Members of the gang were active in stealing vehicles in Bathinda city, Muktsar, Malout, Kotkapura and Faridkot.
