Finally, Sidhu and Punjab govt comes to help Prof Ajmer Aulakh

SAS Nagar: Finally, the tourism and cultural affairs minister Navjot Singh Sidhu comes forward to help the ailing playwright Prof Ajmer Aulakh’s family and gave them Rs 8 lakh cheque for the treatment of prominent writer. Sidhu gave the monetary help from his own pocket.

SAS Nagar: Finally, the tourism and cultural affairs minister Navjot Singh Sidhu comes forward to help the ailing playwright Prof Ajmer Aulakh’s family and gave them Rs 8 lakh cheque for the treatment of prominent writer. Sidhu gave the monetary help from his own pocket.

Meanwhile, Punjab government has also announced to bear the Aulakh’s medical expenses. It is confirmed by the Health and Family Welfare Minister Brahm Mohindra. The Health Minister also visited the hospital to enquire about the health of the playwright.

 As per the information, the Punjab government has been thinking to draft a policy for the monitory help of the prominent Punjabi writers who have gained fame across the world for their contribution to the Punjabi language.  

Navjot Singh Sidhu had also given Rs24 lakh compensation from his pocket to farmers in Amritsar district who had lost their crops to fires.
