Sunny Dhaliwal - Age 17, goalkeeper

The story of Sunny is heart touching. Passion for playing from India, he left Canada. Sunny is one of the tallest players in the World Cup. The 6 feet 5 inch goalkeeper gave up his Canadian passport in order to represent his country of origin. Sunny trained with Major League Soccer club Toronto FC Academy, and also had an offer to join English club Bolton Wanderers. Sunny’s family hails from Punjab and he has come out with wonder gesture to represent his country in the tournament. He could have played from Canada but he has been playing for his motherland.

Anwar Ali - Age 17, defender

Born in Adampur, in the district of Jalandhar, Anwar is one of the four players in the squad from the Minerva Academy. Compared to others, Anwar came into the team pretty late but since then has established himself in the playing XI. Anwar's biggest strengths is his height and he would also look to make most it.

Punjab has contributed a lot in all the spheres but the Punjabi fans are disappointed that the majority of the players hail from North-East. Only three players have been selected for the historic tournament.
