Punjab and
Haryana High Court on Friday issued notices to State of Punjab, its Secretary,
Education, and Member Secretary, Punjab Education Development Board, in writ
petition seeking removal of Sukhsagar Avenue Welfare Association, as a private
partner of Adarsh School, Midduman, Faridkot district.
The HC Bench comprising Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain issued notices for October 25, to the State of Punjab, its Secretary, Education, and Pardeep Kumar, Member Secretary, Punjab Education Development Board, in a Writ Petition seeking removal of Sukhsagar Avenue Welfare Association, as a private partner of Adarsh Senior Secondary School, village Midduman, Faridkot district.
The Counsel
for the petitioners Hari Chand Arora said thatGurpreet Kaur and 35 other
teachers of Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Midduman, Faridkot alleged that the
private partner, Sukhsagar Avenue Welfare Association, is seeking reimbursement
of salaries in the names of at least six fake teachers, and is otherwise also
misappropriating a part of salary of all the teachers, as he is paying lesser
salaries to the staff, but seeking reimbursement of more salary from the Punjab
Education Development Board.
In this manner, the said NGO allegedly committed misappropriation of around Rs.50 lakhs during last one year. The said NGO was also allegedly committing misappropriation of funds at Adarsh Schools, village Pacca, Faridkot district and village Nar Sihn Kalan, Moga district, said advocate Arora.
The
petitioner also brought it to the notice that atmosphere of the said Adarsh
School has been completely vitiated, as during a period of last one year,
atleast 4 FIRs have been registered against Narinder Singh Randhawa, the
Chairman of Sukhsagar Avenue Welfare Association, the latest FIR being on
charge of rape of a lady teacher by Narinder Singh Randhawa, abd his son,
repeatedly.
The petitioner also alleged that Pardeep Kumar, the Member, Secretary of the Punjab Education Development Board was acting in connivance with Narinder Singh Randhawa, the Chairman of Sukhsagar Avenue Welfare Association, and thus, the said officer has failed to take any action against the said NGO.
The Counsel for petitioners argued that in response to a complaint made by him, the Secretary, Education had got an inquiry conducted from DEO Faridkot, but the said respondent was allegedly sitting over the inquiry report.
The petitioners have thus no other option but to seek intervention of the High Court, for seeking re-consideration of the appointment of Sukhsagar Avenue Welfare Association, as private partner of Adarsh School, village Pacca, Faridkot, argued the Counsel.
