
In the second incident held in the city of Punjab-Ferozepur, police got a grand success with the seizure of Rs.1 lac on Tuesday. Along with that a printer cum scanner that can print such notes has also been seized during the raid. Earlier Rs.1.44 and Rs.1.80.500 lac were recovered in two separate incidents.
A case under Section 489A, 489B has been registered at Kulgarhi police station. So far, Rs.4.24.500 fake Indian currency notes – FICN – have been recovered.
SP(D) informed that Dalbir Singh alias Bittu son of Jaimal Singh of village Lubania presently resident of Renu Palace Wali Gali Muktsar on the tip off of Dalbir Singh and recovered Rs.1 lac from him along with one printer-cum-scanner.
The main king pin of supplying the fake currency notes Gurbaj Singh is still absconding who will be nabbed soon, said Ajmer Singh Bath, SP(D) Ferzepur. With his arrest and further interrogation of the accused, more clues are expected to come on surface with regard to fake currency printing, he added.
