Spokesman News Service:

Facebook has left Punjab Police helpless as gangsters are using this platform to spread messages to their followers. The social media platform has been encouraging the youth to commit crimes.

A recent incident has made it more challenging for Punjab Police as gangster Rupinder Gandhi's brother Manvinder Mindi was shot dead by some unidentified assailants on Sunday when the deceased was working in his fields.

Just after this incident, killers claimed on Facebook that they were behind the murder. While police were investigating the CCTV footages and other clues to grab the accused, Gurjot Garcha from Ravi Sarpanch Group shared a post on Facebook and stated that he himself and Rinda Sandhu were there behind the killing of Mindi.

He also addressed that they both were behind the murder only. The Facebook post mentioned that Garcha requested the police not to harass his friends.

He alleged that the police booked him in a false case that ruined his career. Garcha further mentioned, “I don’t want that someone else could meet the same fate.”

Gonder updated his profile by uploading a picture showing him at airport. He messaged that he is ok and safely landed abroad.

Facebook is a social platform being operated by a US company. Punjab Police has been struggling hard to trace the gangsters. Even the top officials have written the company to ban their accounts. However, nothing has been done so far by the company.
