According to the sources, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ajaib Singh, who was arrested from Kapurthala, was Inderjit’s right hand and both had worked together in various operations.
SAS Nagar: In a major breakthrough, the Special Task Force has nabbed another cop who is the accomplice of arrested Inspector Inderjit Singh in the drugs case. According to the sources, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ajaib Singh, who was arrested from Kapurthala, was Inderjit’s right hand and both had worked together in various operations.
The team recovered a foreign-made pistol and live cartridges from Ajaib’s possession. He was produced in a Mohali court, which remanded him in six-day police custody. The STF (Special Task Force) team, meanwhile, has been investigating the details of Inderjit’s properties and bank accounts.
The sources in the STF said that the Inderjit’s arrest would give them so many leads in the drug supply cases. Besides, the special team has been also investigating the bank details and the properties of Inderjit and his family members.
Even the other team members of Inderjit who used to accompany him in major operations are also on the radar of STF. The seven days remand of Inderjit Singh may give a lot clues related to the drugs mafia in Punjab.
