On the eve of teacher's day Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh extended his greetings to the teaching fraternity to promote their welfare and enable a congenial atmosphere in the state.
Amarinder exhorted the teachers to do their best to shape the future generations in the mould of former President of India and great educationist late Dr S Radhakrishnan, on whose birth anniversary Teacher’s Day is celebrated every year.
The CM urged the teachers to pledge themselves to the cause of providing youngsters, especially the needy, with the necessary learning environment required to transform their destiny.
Amarinder Singh
would bestow the Teacher’s Day gift to the newly
recruited 1,337 master-cadre teachers by giving them appointment
letters during the “Ghar Ghar Rozgar” mela
to be held at the multipurpose stadium in Mohali.
The CM would also give appointment letters to 50 kin of deceased employees.
