CBI judge to pronounce punishment to dera head inside Rohtak jail

Chandigarh: The Haryana Goverment has decided not to bring rape convict dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim to Panchkula for hearing to pronounce quantum of punishment for him. The CBI judge would be flown to Rohtak to hold court in the jail itself.

The Police has made elaborate arrangements for the security of Rohtak jail and has sought 18 columns of army for the judgement day to maintain law and order.

Deputy Commissioner Rohtal Atul Kumar said that situation is delicate and they cant take risks. He had written a letter to General Officer Commanding Armoured Division today. He said that 10 companies of para-military forces are deployed in the district.

Rohtak police has recovered six plastic bottles filled with petrol from outside the houses of dera followers. The Police has evacuated people from Naam Charcha Ghar. Police has detained 10 persons on suspicion of criminal activities.

Rohtal DC has also claimed that no VIP treatment was being given to Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh. He is being given same food which the other prisoners are getting.He is lodged in special cell in the company of two prisoner lambardars.
