Bhog ceremony of Kj Singh, senior journalist and his mother who were found dead at their residence in Mohali will be on Sep 28 at Sacha Dhan Gurdwara, Phase 3B1, Mohali between 12 noon and 1 pm followed by langar.

The mother-son were killed by unidentified assailants on the intervening night of September 22 and 23 at their residence in Phase 3B2, Mohali. He worked as a news editor in Indian Express, Times of India and The Tribune. Many prominent journalists has worked under him and has condoles his death for his down to earth attitude.

The president of Mohali press club Gurdeep Singh Benipal has condoles his death by saying that he was a very down to earth personality.  Poonam Grewal, a freelance journalist who got training under him was shocked to hear the sad demise of KJ Singh and his mother and said by talking to Rozana Spokesman, "He was a wonderful journalist who always taught us the right journalism and moreover, he was famous for his down to earth attitude."

Sukhbir Singh Badal in his twitter account tweet by saying," I condemn ghastly murder of senior journalist KJ Singh and his mother at Mohali. Urge police to nab perpetrators imm. CM of Punjab Amarinder SIngh had directed DGP to ensure thorough probe into murder of journalist KJ Singh & his mother in Mohali. He also said that SIT has also been set up under IG (Crime).
